Izumi

In the world of hospitality, ambiance is everything. Izumi, located in London, redefines luxury dining by crafting a space that is as visually captivating as it is immersive. This new restaurant design is a masterclass in blending opulence, mood, and artistry — every corner echoes a thoughtful narrative.

The Corridor: A Prelude of Sophistication

Stepping into the hallway of Izumi feels like entering a refined sanctuary. Cloaked in rich espresso-toned paneling with intricate wall mouldings, the corridor exudes quiet luxury. The minimalist ceiling design is elevated with sleek linear lighting, subtly drawing the eye forward and creating a sense of anticipation.

A clever use of mirrored panels visually expands the narrow space, while the monochromatic chevron marble flooring grounds the design with a bold graphic statement. Paired with brushed gold handles and modern signage, the hallway sets the tone for an elevated dining experience.

The Dining Nook: Where Art Meets Gastronomy

At the heart of Izumi lies a dining enclave that is nothing short of theatrical. Framed by a stately arched niche, a breathtaking hand-painted mural depicting cranes and flora evokes East Asian elegance. Bathed in a warm golden hue and backlit to perfection, this wall becomes an instant focal point — a marriage of art and nature.

Above, a custom-designed chandelier cascades gracefully, its vertical rods mimicking falling rain — a detail that adds rhythm to the room’s atmosphere.

The surrounding walls, dressed in dark tones with soft texture, are punctuated by crystal-accented wall sconces that cast a soft glow, emphasizing intimacy and calm.

Design Notes:

Color Palette: Deep charcoal, burgundy, gold, and cream — creating an ambiance of dramatic sophistication.

Material Play: High-gloss metals, velvet upholstery, backlit panels, and marble surfaces elevate the sensory experience.

Lighting Strategy: Indirect and layered lighting techniques create zones of interest and mood transitions.
